Our Story
The International Committee on Countering Extremist and Hate Speech (ICCEHS) was founded by a
coalition of experts from diverse fields — law, media, education, diplomacy, and human rights — with a
common goal: to confront the global rise of hate speech and extremism through ethical communication,
education, and advocacy.
Our Principles
ICCEHS operates on firm foundational principles that shape all its programs and policies:
- Dialogue as a Path to Peace
- Responsibility in Communication
- Respect for Human Rights and Dignity
- Freedom of Belief, Thought, and Expression
- Opposition to Violence, Discrimination, and Hate
- Promotion of Tolerance, Coexistence, and Respect for Diversity

Our Objectives

- Foster international cooperation and policy dialogue.
- Counter extremist rhetoric and hate speech globally.
- Promote peaceful communication and responsible media practices.
- Encourage legal frameworks and media ethics that protect fundamental rights.
- Empower civil society and institutions through education and capacity building.
- Monitor and address the misuse of digital platforms and new technologies in spreading hate and incitement.
Our Approach
At ICCEHS, we believe in a positive and proactive approach to addressing hate speech and extremism. Rather than reacting with polarization or division, we focus on promoting values of dialogue, inclusion, and mutual understanding.
We aim to encourage a culture of peace by highlighting what unites people, building on shared values, and reinforcing the importance of respectful communication. Our approach is based on the belief that long-term solutions come through education, engagement, and ethical leadership — not confrontation or censorship.
